The Franklin County Wildcats were able to use another great pitching performance and a great team effort at the plate to defeat the Northeastern Knights by a final score of 7-0.
After an hour and a half lightning delay, the Wildcats started the game off by working around a lead-off double to hold the Knights scoreless. Then Franklin County added two runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead and never look back. The Wildcats scored three runs in the fourth and then padded their lead in the bottom of the sixth with two more runs which proved to be plenty of run support for KK Ferman.
Ferman threw her second consecutive two-hit shutout in the game and kept the Knight hitters off-balance throughout the night. She finished the game with fourteen strikeouts and earned her second win of the young season.
