The 7th grade BMS volleyball team picked up their second, convincing win of the season defeating South Ripley in 2 games. Scores were 25-21; 25-12.
Jade Pflum led the team in serving connecting on 11/13 serves earning 10 points including 4 aces. Ellie Cassidy was 8 for 9 earning 7 points including 2 aces. Macy Prickel and Abby Westerfeld were dominant at the net with 5 and 4 kills respectively.
The team’s record is now 2-1.
The 8th grade BMS volleyball team also improved to 2-1 on the season with an exciting 3 set victory over South Ripley. After losing game 1 by the score 25-14, the team rallied to win the next two games 25-21; 15-9. In game 3, the girls overcame a 7-2 deficit. It was a great team win.
Kylie Wanninger was an impressive 14 for 15 from the service line earning 12 points including 8 straight points to clinch the match in game 3. Jennifer Speer, Allie Shane, Caitlyn Broering, and Hattie Westerfeld all
had kills at the net to spark the offense. Ciera Rhoads and Kelsey Shupe passed well in the back row to help secure the win.
The teams will travel to Greendale on Thursday.
