Haley Arthur was brilliant in the circle on Wednesday throwing a no-hitter to lead The North Decatur Lady Chargers Varsity past The South Decatur Lady Cougars 11-0.
North secured the victory thanks to six runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Raegan Nobbe, Macy Scudder, Kennedy Stier, and Kaylin Muckerhide, who all drove in runs. ND fired up the offense in the first inning, when Muckerhide laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.
Arthur took the win for The Lady Chargers. The lefthander surrendered zero runs on zero hits over five innings, striking out 13 and walking one. Dyer took the loss for South. The hurler lasted five innings, allowing 11 hits and 11 runs while striking out three.
North launched one home run on the day. Keisha Crosland went for the long ball in the fourth inning. ND collected 11 hits. Sarah Swain, Crosland, and Kacie Ogden each managed multiple hits.
Swain led The Lady Chargers with three hits in four at-bats while the team didn’t commit a single error in the field. Ogden had the most chances in the field with 13.
