The St. Louis Lady Cardinal 5th Graders hosted St. Nicholas in basketball. St. Louis pulled off a very close win against them with a final score of 10-8.
Scoring for SLS were Aubrey Baker with 4 pts, and Hailee Weisenbach, Jersey Trenkamp, and Ava Becker all with 2 pts each. These girls started a little nervous but by the second half used that in their defense to shut down St. Nicholas. They worked as a team and fought this whole game. I couldn’t be prouder of them. Nice job girls.
The next game is Thursday against Greendale at home. Season record 3-0.

The St. Louis 6th Grade Lady Cardinals improved to 3-0 on the season with a 35-2 victory over St. Nicholas.
The 6th Graders had a balanced attack as Belle Young lead the way with 10 points. Gina Grote played another good all-around game adding 7 points. Riley Siegel and Olivia Leising both added 6 points apiece.
The Lady Cardinals once again used defense to jump out to an early 8-2 lead after the first quarter. They increased the lead to 16-2 at the half. After halftime, the 5th Graders were able to get more playing time and they did an outstanding job of hustling and playing hard.
