Brookville, IN – The North Decatur Lady Chargers basketball team travelled to Franklin County to take on the Wildcats on Thursday looking to get back in the win column.
The Lady Chargers were hungry for a win from the tip and showed it immediately on the defensive end. Only allowing 9 points in the first quarter, but shots weren’t falling on the offensive end despite their efforts on the other end, score after one was in favor of the Lady Wildcats, 9-8.
The Chargers offense then started to click early in the second and throughout the quarter in general. North Decatur outscored Franklin County 12-7 in the second, continuing to lock up on the defensive side of the ball. They took the lead into half by a score of 20-16.
This game was shaping up to be a closely contested one in the second half, and indeed it was. The Chargers clung onto a 32-28 lead heading into the final quarter.
