Lady Cats Spikers Battle Lady Pirates

It was not the morning for the Lady Wildcats as they were defeated by The Greensburg Lady Pirates 25-14, 25-21, 25-14.

They started out slow but came back, it was just too late for the first set. They played much better in the second but just came up a little short. Taylor McCreary had a god day with 2 ace serves and 7 digs. Kristin Campbell led with 7 kills and added 1 dig and 3 assists. Autumn McDaniel dug well with 17 digs and added a kill. Meredith Bohman blocked 3 hits and added 3 digs and 2 kills. Kaylee Hedrick had 4 kills and 4 digs. Jenna Orschell added 5 digs and an ace serve.

The Lady Wildcats will be back in action Tuesday as they host South Dearborn.

The Franklin County Lady Wildcats JV travelled to Greensburg to take on the Lady Pirates and we were defeated in 2 sets 25-13, 25-12.

I was shy two of my starters, as they played up with the Varsity. I am very pleased with the way my 10 JV players pulled together and played!! Sydney Graf and Kaylynn Rauch filled in as my sub setters along with teammate Audrey Reister. Rachel Bischoff filled in as a middle hitter and all of these girls did a great job!! The talk on the court was very aggressive and they tried really hard to keep up with the Lady Pirates.

We have practice Monday and the whole team will be back together this week as we will host S. Dearborn on Tuesday and Connersville on Wednesday both beginning at 5. We will also introduce our FCMS and SMS Junior High teams after the JV match on Wed., Sept. 13th. So come on out and support your Lady Cats. At the half way mark of our season, our record is 7-5 for the season and 4-3 within the conference.

Saturday morning, the freshman Lady Wildcats took the Greensburg Pirates in to 3 sets, Wildcats coming out on top 25-16, 24-25, 15-11!

The team as a whole played great! Kloe Bolos had 9 aces followed by 3 others with three aces. Kloe bolos also had 4 kills helping the Wildcats to a victory.

Come out and support the Lady Cats as they take on South Dearborn at home Tuesday night.
