The St. Louis 6th Grade Girls Basketball team traveled to St. Mary’s North Vernon to face the Wildkats for a second time. The Cardinals showed major improvements on their defensive game and held the Wildkats to 26 points. Unfortunately, the girls had a hard time getting points on the board. The Cardinals lost 26-10. Jaelyn Owens scored the only 2 points in the first half of the game, getting us on the board. Rachel Suttmann led in scoring with 6 points and Karsyn Watson added the other 2 points for the night. Bridget Lohmueller set the tone for some great defense and Meg Ritter did an excellent job rebounding. Katelyn Rahe, Paige Watters, and Cora Roth helped round out our defensive game. The Cardinals move to 1-2 on the season.
