The St. Louis 7th Grade Volleyball team played strong against the Sunman Dearborn Lady Trojans in the SEI tournament but fell short 24-25, 24-25. The Cardinals worked well together as a team. They put together their best played game of the season. The team was able to setup the offense often to keep the Cardinals in striking distance of the Trojan through the match. Rhea Miller led the Cardinals on offense with 8 hits including 4 kills and Isabelle Wonnell had 5 hits and 1 kill, Kate Weber had 5 hits, Catherine Streator had 2 hits and Lucy Abplanalp and Lilly Schebler had 1 hit each. The offense could not be setup without the skillful passing of Ella Moster and Ingrid Tuveson. The whole team was able to put points on the scoreboard. The points were scored as followed Streator 5 points, Abplanalp 4 points, Weber 4 points, Moster 4 points, Tuveson 3 points, Wonnell 3 points, Miller 2 points and Schebler 1 point.
The 8th Grade Lady Cardinals felled to the Sunman Dearborn Lady Trojans in the first round of the SEI Tournament 14-25, 16-25. The Cardinals worked hard on the court to get 3 touches on the ball before passing it over the net. This allowed Emma Livers to command the net with 3 strong hits and a block. Serving was solid for the Cardinals. Audrey Beiser led the team with 6 points followed by Megan Raab, Mary Hunter, Maggie Beiser and Izzi Price with 2 points each and Ava Owens with 1 point.
