The Lady Cardinal 7th Grade Volleyball team fell to the Lady Milan Indians in their season opener 15-25, 25-16 & 15-7. The Lady Cardinals served strong in the first set but struggled in the last 2 sets. The top server was Rachel Suttmann with 10 points followed by Cora Roth 6 points, Jaelyn Owens and Kalli Obermeyer 5 points each, Lucy Abplanalp 4 points and Sophia Hohenstein and Ashley Hunter 1 point each. The offense was led by Suttman with the only kill of the night.
The Lady St. Louis Cardinal 8th Grade Volleyball team defeated the Lady Milan Indians in their season opener. 25-5 & 25-11 Kate Weber and Lilly Schebler was strong at the serving line with 15 & 12 points respectively. Ava Owens served up 3 points as well as Ingrid Tuveson, Ella Moster and Iza Wonnell served for 2 points each and Catherine Streator had 1 point. The offense was led by Claire Saner and Streator striking the ball 4 times at the net. The offense could not be strong without the passing abilities of Maggie Beiser and Rhea Miller.
