The St. Louis Cardinals 5th Grade Girls Basketball team played their 3rd game of the season last night against St. Nicholas and won in decisive fashion by a score of 21-12.
The Cardinals took control of the from the very beginning of the game by making good offensive decisions and playing excellent defense. The Lady Cardinals led the game from start to finish with a balanced scoring attack which included Kate Weber (6), Sadie Wachsmann (4), Claire Saner (4), Lilly Schebler (3) Catherine Streator (2) and Leah Cossentino (2). Isabelle Wonnell, Izzi Price, Rhea Miller and Madison Wanstrath were tenacious on defense which was essential to the win!
The next game will be Monday, January 30th against St. Lawrence.
