In the varsity match, it was slow moving, but the build up to a loud crescendo of a finish. Set one saw us missing a lot of give me’s. We had eight hitting errors in one set, just failing to find the square. Set two was a mixture. We started off to a 15-4 lead before starting to faulter. We were executing well, and were findin g a lot of open hitting lanes. Then SD scored a few random points and we lost our focus. Don that stretch it was a good thing we built our lead as SD out scored us 12-9 until we could close the set. Set three was all dogs. Serving , free ball passing, plays with multiple tempo sets. From our side it was fun to watch.
#7 Kylie Laker had 4 aces on the night and 16 assists. Hitting was spread pretty evenly, and defense was sound, as usual.
All in favor of The Lady Bulldogs, scores were 25-15, 25-16, 25-5.
