Lady Bulldogs Varsity Softball Results

The Bulldogs lost on Saturday to Greensburg by a score of 7-2.
 

The Bulldogs opened up scoring in the first inning. Renee Lecher hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.

Paige Oldham led things off in the circle for Batesville. The pitcher allowed eight hits over six innings, striking out three.

Emma Belter went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Batesville Bulldogs Varsity in hits.
 
 

The Bulldogs lost on Friday night to Rushville by a score of 11-10.

The Bulldogs fell behind by five runs in the second inning but then tried to fight back. The Bulldogs scored ten runs in the failed comeback on an error in the third, a single by Renee Lecher in the third, a double by Sarah Ripperger in the third, a double by Lecher in the fifth, a double by Kylie Laker in the sixth, a single by Margaret Wilson in the sixth, and a double by Laker in the seventh.
The Bulldogs notched five runs in the third inning. Paige Oldham, Lecher, and Ripperger all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
 
Lecher led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Batesville. The pitcher went six and a third innings, allowing 11 runs on 17 hits, striking out three, and walking one.
Batesville collected 12 hits. Lecher, Wilson, Oldham, and Laker each collected multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Lecher led Batesville with three hits in four at-bats.
 
 

The Bulldogs lost to Franklin County by a score of 8-2 on Thursday.

Paige Oldham led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Batesville. The Bulldogs surrendered seven hits over six innings, striking out four.

Kylie Laker, Oldham, Renee Lecher, Margaret Wilson, Sarah Ripperger, and Emma Belter each collected one hit to lead Batesville Bulldogs Varsity.
