Lady Bulldogs Sweep Lady Bengals

Makayla Granger’s last second 3 pointer lifted the 7th grade Lady Bulldogs over Greendale 27-26 in a thrilling game at BMS last night. The Bulldogs were down 2 points with 9 seconds left when Emma Weiler made a good look to a Granger for the game winner at the buzzer.

Jadyn Harrington led the defense  in a tough physical game, while Ava Hanson had a solid overall performance.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs in scoring was Hanson (10 points), followed by Weiler (8 points), Granger (7 points), and Megan Meyer (2 points).

The Bulldogs are now 6-1 on the season and head to Rushville on Thursday to take on the Lady Lions.

The 8th grade Lady Bulldogs played a very talented Greendale team last night, and came away with a 42-36 victory to up their record to 6 wins and only 1 loss.

The Lady Bulldogs trailed at every quarter break except the one that counted, the final quarter.  With only 5 eligible players the Lady Bulldogs had to hold back their defensive intensity, but found a way to create turnovers and hold the Lady Tigers to only one shot on many possessions.  Leading the Lady Bulldogs, and all scorers with 19 points was Ashley Nobbe.  Other scorers for the Lady Bulldogs were Breanna Wells with 16, Sarah Ripperger had 4, Carley Pride with 2 and Gabby Elston added 1.

The Lady Tigers were led by Kristen Cross with 14.  Other scorers for the Lady Tigers were Kendall Myers with 8, Hannah White added 7, Alyson Galey had 4, Ryleigh Offutt scored 2 and Sydney Benson had 1.

The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Rushville on Thursday.
