Varsity. Defeats Milan 25-21, 25-16 (round 1).
Defeats South Ripley 25-16, 18-25, 17-15 (Championship)
Great overall effort was being given on both sides… It showed how much winning the county means to all of the players. We were just fortunate enough to show our mettle at the right moment. We were actually on the losing side of 15 when the Raiders got to 14. I think having played in 7 five game matches this year to date gave us the composure we needed.
On the Day, Morgan Meyer was 100% serving 19 times with one ace. Audrey Amberger # 8 finished hitting .342 on 38 swings, notching 16 kills w/only 3 errors. Kylie Laker #7 had 24 Assists on 66 attempts with 14 digs, and Jenna Ertel #11 notched 26 digs.
All three teams will travel to EIAC Rival East Central on Monday with freshman serving first @ 5:00pm. JV will follow the first match with Varsity finishing the last match of the evening.
