Lady Bulldog Middle School Teams Come Up Short Against Lady Panthers

The BMS 7th Grade Volleyball team lost a tough match against Jennings County 25-21 and 25-19. Sophie Gesell went 11 for 11 on serves, had 3 kills, and 5 digs. Ava Powner went 7 for 7 on serves, had 2 kills, and 2 digs. Annie Negovetich went 4 for 4 on serves, had 2 kills, and 2 digs. Addyson Weiler had 4 digs. Sarah Bedel had 1 ace, 1 kill, and 3 digs. Addison Westrick served 2 for 2 and had 3 digs. Kate Bauer had 1 ace, 1, kill, and 2 digs. Molly Meer served 2 for 2, 2 kills, and 3 digs. Alyson Peters served 2 for 2, had 5 digs, and 2 kills. Lydia Haskamp had 1 good serve, 1 dig, and 1 kill.  Their record is 9-2. Tourney starts Monday and we play St. Louis at home, come cheer us on!

The BMS 8th Graders lost against a talented Jennings County team 25-18, 25-13. The top servers were Kaylin Hinners with 5 points. Kaylie Raver added 4 points and Margaret Wilson added 3 points. With 1 point each was Sara Lamping, Laura Schwegman, and Renee Lecher. From the front row; Wilson had 2 kills. While Raver, Hinners, Taylor Blanton, and Lecher all had 1 kill each.  The back row had a lot of digs from an aggressive team. Callie Fletcher and Annie Shane led in digs. The team is now 7-4.
