Kynadee Bode had all the right stuff on the mound for Milan varsity softball on Thursday, allowing zero runs in a 13-0 win over Southwestern Hanover High School.
Bode was also a standout at the plate, going 2-3 with a home run and 4 RBI.
Milan scored 5 runs in the fifth inning thanks to a single by Bode, a sac fly by Ava Labazzo, and a home run by Abby Moore.
Bode pitched all 5 innings, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 10 batters.
Ashley Fulton started the game for the Rebels, lasting just one and one-third innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out one. In relief, Chloey Leach threw three and two-thirds innings.
Milan finished the game with 12 hits. Nevaeh Carpenter and Kynadee Bode finished with 3 hits each.
