Kenneth Short, age 59 – Aurora

Kenneth Dwayne Short, of Aurora, was born on July 24, 1961, a son to Kenneth L. and Helen Shell Short. He spent his career in the automotive and recycling industry and he was very proud of it. In his free time, Kenneth enjoyed taking car rides out in the country, going fishing, researching Indian history, and most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and friends. On Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the age of 59, Kenneth passed away unexpectedly at home.

Those surviving who will cherish Kenneth’s memory include his son, Jason Short (Sarah Stainko) of Mooresville; one daughter, Brandi Short (Byron Fisher) of Cincinnati; one grandson, Kobra Kai Fisher; two sisters, Darlene Worthington of Wabash, Sandra Dufrene of Aurora; several nieces and nephews; loving companion, Sharon Hudson; and a loving ex-wife, Darlene Short. Besides both of his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by two sisters, Donita Burnett and Jerri Binder; one nephew, Cory Dufrene; and one great-nephew, Cole Dufrene.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, in Sunman, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon. Burial will follow immediately after in St. Paul Cemetery.
