Ken was an accomplished athlete who enjoyed sports of all sorts. A talented pitcher in high school, he nearly turned pro. With his playing days behind him, he stilled followed baseball and was an avid Reds fan. He also was a league bowler for many years, as well as an I.U. basketball fan, but his passion was golf. To say Ken was a golf fanatic would be an understatement. He couldn’t get enough of it. He’d go with his work buddies. He’d go with his family. He’d go with your buddies……it didn’t matter. Spring, summer, fall or winter, it didn’t matter. Winter just required the right equipment. As long as it was above freezing, he’d have his son with him in a covered cart with a portable propane heater. And a basement full of trophies says he was pretty good at it. Away from sports he liked watching the old western shows and most of all, loved being with his grandkids.
Ken is survived by his wife Betty; daughter Holly Meginniss of Spokane, Washington; sons Jason Moody of Greenfield, Indiana, Ryan Moody of Morris, Shawn Raver of Dallas, Texas, Scott Dashnaw of Versailles, Indiana; sisters Beverly Jumper of Marseilles, Illinois, Anita Zielinski of Troy, Ohio, Roseann Tousley and Cindy Weiler, both of Batesville; brother Keith Moody of Batesville and five grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother Kevin Moody.
