Kenneth Jackson

Kenneth Jackson, 90, of Osgood passed away at 6:00pm Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. He was born at Versailles, Indiana on May 1, 1926 the son of Marshall and Estelle Fox Jackson. Kenneth married Pauline Schearer on November 1, 1945 in Indianapolis, Indiana and she preceded him in death on March 4, 1998. Survivors include one son James (Reyna), two daughters; Joyce (Gene) Wagner and Jeanne (Bob) DeBurger all of Osgood; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; one brother Marion Jackson of Terre Haute, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters; Neva Rea, Naomi Ruth Carter and Margaret Estel Jobst, two brothers; Willard Samuel and Hubert Jackson. Mr. Jackson worked for International Harvester in Indianapolis, but his true love was working with wood as a general carpenter and as a farmer for William Neal Sr., Doug Thayer and Greg Wehr and as well as his own farm. Kenneth was a member of Tanglewood Baptist Church. The Funeral will be on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:30am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Visitation will be Sunday from 2pm to 5pm at the funeral home in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the Kidney Foundation, Tanglewood Cemetery, Fishes and Loaves Community Food Pantry in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
