Karen Sue (Dieckmann) Seymour, 59, of Waldron passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with her loving family by her side. Karen was born on Thursday, May 19, 1966, in Batesville; daughter of Carlos and Norma (Brandt) Dieckmann. Karen married the love of her life, Steven Seymour Jr., on May 13, 1995, and he survives her. She worked as an associate at Walmart in Shelbyville for 25 years until she retired in 2022. She had a passion for working on counted cross stitch, dearly loved animals, and was known to have a green thumb. She was a 10-year member of the Ripley County 4H Club and enjoyed attending tractor shows and collecting antique tractors.
Karen will be missed by her husband Steven Seymour Jr. of Waldron; sister Kathleen Sperling of Columbus, OH; brother Mark (Dawn) Dieckmann of Napoleon; nephews Corey (Jhenie) Sperling, Zach Sperling, and Chris Seymour; mother-in-law Kay Seymour; and brother-in-law Scott (Teri Gadson) Seymour.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents Carlos and Norma Dieckmann; brother-in-law Timothy Sperling; and father-in-law Steven Seymour Sr.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Karen from 9:00-11:00 AM, Friday, September 26, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church: 7124 IN-101 Milan, IN 47031. Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Booster officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Karen to St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
