The following are boys junior high basketball recaps from January 6.
Jac-Cen-Del’s seventh grade boys beat Milan 50-34.
For the Eagles, Blake Wagner turned in 20 points, eight rebounds and three steals. Teammate Darian Grieshop had 18 points and four swipes.
Milan was a winner in the eight grade game over JCD 37-27.
In the loss for the Eagles, Lane Carrol collected seven points and three boards. Cade Kohlman scored six.
Batesville’s seventh grade fell to North Decatur 44-41.
For the Bulldogs, Carson Hartley led with 14 points and Caleb Laker followed with 11.
The BMS eighth got the win over NDMS 32-22.
The Bulldogs shut out the Chargers 8-0 in the first quarter. An evenly played game followed. after posting an 8-nothing first quarter shutout. Ethan Schneider and Bryden Maple both posted seven points. Owen Enneking collected six.
For the Chargers, Logan O’Dell logged nine points and four rebounds while Garrett Schwering collected eight points and 11 rebounds.
North Decatur’s eighth grade downed Tri 33-22.
Chase Youngman’s efforts yielded a pair of nines in points and rebounds. Hayden Ramsey turned in eight points, seven boards and four assists while Micha Smith contributed eight points.
