The following are boys basketball junior high recaps from December 9.
The Batesville seventh grade lost to East Central 42-26.
For the Bulldogs, Carson Hartley had 14 points.
BMS took the eighth grade game over EC 54-30.
The Bulldogs had a strong team defensive effort. Cayden Drake led the way offensively with 12 points, Trenten Luers scored 11 and Brayden Maple added 10.
The South Ripley seventh grade beat Milan 38-22.
Milan won the eighth grade contest 31-20.
The Indians Micha Norman poured in 21 for the Tribe.
The St. Louis eighth grade was a 36-7 winner over St. Mary’s.
The Cardinals Ben Griewe had a team-high eight points while Jack Freeland and Adam Weber both scored six.
The St. Louis sixth grade beat St. Bartholomew 25-19.
For the Redbirds, Sam Dice put in 11 points. Ray Walke had eight.
The St. Lou fifth lost 21-15 in double overtime.
While it was a loss, the coaching staff said it was the best game the team had played all year.
