Junior high boys basketball December 13-15

The following are junior high boys basketball recaps from December 13-15.

The North Decatur eighth grade bested Jac-Cen-Del 43-32. 

The Chargers Logan O’Dell dialed up 22 points.

For the Eagles, Lane Carroll scored 12 and Lane Simon posted 11.  Both players had five rebounds.

The ND seventh also beat JCD 42-33. 

The Eagles got 15 points, six rebounds and four assists from Darian Grieshop plus 11 points, eight boards and three swipes from Neil Sullivan.

The St. Louis sixth grade defeated St. Michael 35-13.

The Cardinals, now 14-0, saw Caleb Harmeyer record 10 points and five rebounds. Owen Beckner had a team-high 10 boards and chipped in two points.

South Ripley’s eighth grade got by Greendale 29-26. 

Mason McNew of the Raiders and Briton Mattox of the Bengals both netted nine points.

Ripley’s seventh grade downed GMS 52-22.

Drew Volz, Brogan Buchanan and Ethan Schmaltz put in 11, 10 and nine points respectively.

Dylan Bates’ seven points were best for Greendale.

Batesville’s eighth grade topped South Dearborn in double overtime 57-50. 

A 6-for-6 effort at the line in the second extra session sealed the win for the Bulldogs.

For BMS, Owen Enneking and Cayden Drake both scored 13 points.  Brayden Maple netted 12 and Trenten Luers logged 10.

The Batesville seventh lost to SD 52-19. 

Carson Harley posted nine points for the Bulldogs.

Jac-Cen-Del’s eighth grade fell to Switzerland County 37-25. 

For the Eagles Lane Simon recorded eight points and seven rebounds.  Caden Kohlman collected five points and five steals.

The Eagle seventh also lost to the Pacers 38-33. 

Darian Grieshop turned in 12 points for JCD.  Teammate Blake Wagner contributed 11 points and six rebounds.

The St. Louis sixth grade thumped St. Lawrence 36-2.

The Cardinals ended their season with a 15-0 record. Sam Dice led with 15 points.  Caleb Harmeyer scored 10.

The St. Lou fifth grade got by St. Michael 15-11. 

Hunter Young scored all four of his points in the fourth quarter to help key the Cardinal victory.  Grant Hartwell led the Redbirds with six.

The Cardinal fifth also beat St. Lawrence 33-3. 

Cam Anderson racked up 16 points.  Hunter Young followed with 10.

The St. Louis eight grade topped St. Lawrence 30-23. 

Jaiden Kuria led the Cardinals with 16 points.  Caleb Mohr added six.

The St. Louis fifth grade fell in their final game of the season, 30-10 to Greendale.   

The Bengals had a big second half after the teams were tied at intermission.  The Cardinal fifth end a good season at 11-4.
