June Irene Tumilty, 83, of Greensburg passed away on December 28, 2024. She was born on January 19, 1941 in Letts, Indiana the daughter of Emmett and Florence (Heinrich) Taylor. June was a 1959 graduate of Greensburg High School. She worked for over 30 years in childcare. On August 22, 1959, she married John Tumilty and together they had three children: Monica, Angela and Teresa.
Survivors include: husband, John Tumilty; children, Monica (Fred) Overlock, Angela Tumilty and Teresa (Mike) Hahn; grandchildren, Mariah (Josh) Gerlach, Derek Overlock, Collin (Maja) Overlock, Brandon Overlock, Kelli (Austin) Senteney and Megan (Adam) Hawks; great grandchildren, Sophie Gerlach, Isabel Gerlach, James Gerlach, Alexandra Senteney, Gabriel Senteney, Benjamin Senteney and Theodore Hawks; and brother, Donald Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard Taylor, and Roy Taylor; sisters, Stella Milholland, Mary Mulroney, Alta Mae Taylor and Lois Ann Taylor.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the funeral home at 10:00 am and will be broadcast live on the Gilliland-Howe Facebook Page. Pastor Jay Vanderbur will be officiating.
