Julia went back to work after Dale’s passing at the Ripley County Courthouse, first in the Treasurer’s office, then the Auditor’s office. Julia then decided to run for the Assessor’s office and was successful for 3 terms, retiring in 2008. She loved working with the public and always strived to provide fair and honest service to the taxpayers of the county. Julia was always very proud of her 20 years of public service. Grandma JuJu as they called her, thoroughly enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren, along with attending their school events and sports whenever she could. She also loved her many fur babies over the years and was always very proud of her flowers every summer.
Julia is survived by her husband, Marlin Siebert of Batesville; son, Edward (Lisa) McKittrick of Batesville, daughter, Mari (Todd) Tekulve of Batesville; grandchildren, Tracy McKittrick and Benjamin, Molly and Bradley Tekulve all of Batesville; brothers, Bill (Ginger) Bradford of Versailles and Sam Bradford of Indianapolis; sister, Jeannie (Frank) Thomas of Osgood; step-son, John (Jackie) Siebert and step-daughter-in-law, Tina Siebert along with many nieces and nephews.
