Judith Rose Hirn

Judith Rose Hirn left this world early on Saturday, December 5, 2020, following a brief struggle with COVID-19. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her caretakers from the Episcopal Church Home.
Judy was born in Batesville, Indiana on February 3, 1941, to Viola “Tillie” and Paul John “Pete” Wintz.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin, who passed away in 2017, and by her brother, Paul Wintz. She is survived by her three children, Clare (Dave Henry), Michael (Serena), and Paul (Regina), and her seven grandchildren, Thomas Hirn, Cyrus Henry, Lincoln Hirn, Oliver Hirn, Thea Henry, Laine Hirn, and Caroline Hirn. Judy is also survived by her sister, Tese Neighbor (Bill), and brothers, Gary and Jack Wintz.
Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to ECH or to the Nativity Academy, a private school devoted to serving underprivileged students and one of Judy’s favorite charities. Both of these charities are in Louisville, KY, Judy’s home since her early 20’s.
A memorial service is being planned for the second half of 2021, by which time we hope responsible gatherings again become possible.
