Judith G. Longcamp, 82, of Aurora, Indiana, formerly of Colorado, passed away Thursday April 1, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Dearborn County.
She was born December 7, 1938 in St. Paul, MN, daughter of the late Leland Guyer and Margaret (Madunich) Guyer.
She worked as the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor of the CA State University System, and later as Councilor and the Assistant Dean of Women for the University of Denver.
Judith was a faithful Christian and member of St. Dunstan’s Anglican Church, Dillon CO., where her husband was Vicar.
Judith lived in Aurora from 1975-2005 then she moved to Colorado. While in Aurora she was on the Library Board, and was active with Hillforest Historical Society, serving 13 years as Registrar. She enjoyed hiking and loved nature. Judith was an animal lover, especially her cats.
Judith is survived by her loving husband of 53years, Dr.John Longcamp, son, David Guyer (Anita) Longcamp of Aurora, IN; siblings, Patricia Guyer Stuehler of Silverthorne, CO, and Leland (Ellen) Guyer of Tucson, AZ; grandson, Alexander Bascom Longcamp.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Andrea Guyer.
Friends will be received Tuesday, April 6, 2021, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the St. John Lutheran Church Aurora, 220 Mechanic St., Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the church at 1:00 pm with the Right Rev. Peter Manto officiating.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, IN.
Contributions may be made to the Hillforest Historical Society, Aurora Public Library, PAWS or the Aurora EMS. If unable to attend services, please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.
