Juanita Yeomans, 86, Versailles

Juanita Yeomans, 86, of Versailles passed away at 5 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2025 at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. She was born at Noble in Breathitt County, Kentucky on January 29, 1939, the daughter of Henry and Sallie Haddix Lovins. She was married to David Yeomans on January 16, 1967 and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2008. Survivors include two daughters Danita (Bill Thornton) Yeomans of Versailles and Robin (Steve) Fischer of Batesville; grandchildren Cory Yeomans, Lauren (Cole) Guerrant, Evan (Holly) Fischer, Kyla (Dakotah) Knueven, and Jalyn Fischer; great-grandchildren Alexa Yeomans, Collin and Rae Fischer, and Harper and Avery Knueven; three sisters Letha (Gilbert) Wilson of New Marion, Geneva (Gary) Napier of Madison, and Dotty Wood of Versailles; one brother Jim (Malena) Lovins of Milan, along with many nieces and nephews, and her special friend Bill French of Osgood. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Charles, John, and Kenneth Lovins, and her sisters Harriet Cleeter and Martha Smith. Mrs. Yeomans was a 1957 graduate of Cross Plains High School. She was a homemaker and had worked for Western Southern Insurance in Cincinnati. Juanita was a proud military spouse who enjoyed living in all parts of the country including Tennessee, California, and Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Rick Burcham officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be given to CEF or the Salvation Army in care of the funeral home.
