John Ray Powell, 61, of Adams passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020. He was born on November 26, 1958 in Decatur County, the son of Elmer and Ruth Dailey Powell. John was retired from Hagerty Building and Construction and was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. On December 23, 2010 he married Catherine Land.
Survivors include: Wife, Cathy Powell of Adams; Children, Candi Jo Conrad of Columbus, Shane Powell of Adams, Christopher Fehrman of Westport, Ryan Scudder of Greensburg, and William Mathews of Connersville; Grandchildren, Nicki Conrad of Columbus and Macy and Miley Scudder of Greensburg; Siblings, Mary Powell of Greensburg, Carter (Jeri) Powell of Tennessee, Jay (Angela) Powell of Hicksville, Ohio, Betty (David) Glaser of Indianapolis, and Nancy (Don) Daugherty of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brother, David Powell.
