Jerry E. Lanvermeyer passed away at the age of 78 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg on Friday, September 2, 2022. Jerry was born on Wednesday, January 5, 1944 in Milan, Indiana, son of Ervin and Edith (nee Schmalle) Lanvermeyer. Jerry graduated from Dillsboro High School in 1962. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Dillsboro. He enjoyed farming with his father and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. Many Dillsboro folks remembered seeing Jerry drive around town in his burgundy car or his turquoise pick-up truck.
Jerry will be missed by his surviving cousins.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Edith Lanvermeyer, sister Marilyn Caswell, and brother-in-law Don Caswell.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Jerry from 11:00am – 1:00pm Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home. A service will immediately follow at 1:00pm with Rev. Richard Kolaskey officiating. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Jerry to Trinity Lutheran Church.
