JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. — The Jennings County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help in finding the person involved in a burglary.
Monday morning sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in Lovett Township to investigate a burglary. While deputies were walking through the home, the home owner pointed out things that were taken.
Harlan Deaton, the homeowner, started talking about guns that were taken from him, and got teary eyed when he told deputies that he was 12 when his father gave him a Winchester Model 97 shotgun.
Police say several items including multiple guns were taken from the residence.
