Jarrold Lee “Jerry” Ochs, 71, of Moores Hill, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022.
He was born July 25, 1951, in Batesville, IN, son of the late Lloyd Ochs and Margie (Hastings) Ochs.
Jerry served his country as a member of the United States Army.
He worked as a Machinist for C & W Machining, retiring after many years of service.
Jerry lived on the Ochs Farm in Moores Hill, Indiana. He put out a very large garden every year. He was a gun collector and enjoyed watching YouTube. Jerry loved dogs, especially Scooter, he used to enjoy hunting and fishing, and loved being outdoors. Jerry was very stubborn and wanted things done his way. Time with his family was one of his greatest joys, and he will be sadly missed by them all.
Jerry is survived by his loving spouse of almost 20 years, Beverly (Buchanan) Ochs; sons, Danny Ochs of Pueblo West, CO, Timothy (Angela) Ochs of Moores Hill, IN, Derek (Bridget) Stevens of Moores Hill, IN; brothers, Michael (Brenda) Ochs of Moores Hill, IN, Steve (LaVonna) Ochs of Moores Hill, IN; grandchildren, Brooke Ochs, Grace Ochs, Alexis Ochs, Piper Ochs, Mya Ochs, Trace Barker, Bailey Stevens, & Bella Stevens; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Margie; and son, David Ochs.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Moores Hill American Legion, Post 209, 14656 Wood Street, Moores Hill, IN 47032 on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Color Guard services will be held at the Legion at 3:00 pm.
