James Robert “Jimmy” Ranshaw, 74, of Dillsboro, IN, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in Cincinnati, OH.
He was born Thursday, August 14, 1941 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, son of the late James Henry Ranshaw and the late Bertha May Cochran Ranshaw
Jimmy was a retired member of the IBEW and worked for Chipman’s Concrete Aurora.
He enjoyed working on automobiles, coon hunting and blue grass music. He loved spending time with family and friends. Jimmy had a huge sense of humor. All who knew him loved him, he was devoted to his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Surviving are his loving wife, Betty Sue Ranshaw of Dillsboro, Indiana; children, Mary Jo (Richard) O’Nishea, AL, Lottie Fay Calhoun of Milan , IN, Vickie (Doug Hudson) Miller of East Enterprise, IN, James (Racheal) Ranshaw of Moores Hill, IN; sister, Barbara Chapman, step children, Jay (Brigitt) Loze of Florence, KY, Connie Loze, KY; grandchildren, David Cantwell, Marlana Lack, Salina Henderson, Chuck Lane Jr., Ashly Smart, Jessica Hopkins, Kori and Logan Ranshaw, Devin Sandlin, Deeion Sandlin, and Ty County; 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Shorty Baby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bertha; brothers, George and Marshal Ranshaw and sister, Mary Webb.
Friends will be received 11:00-2:00 pm Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Saturday, at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Moores Hill, IN.
