FrakesJames “Jim” Frakes, 74 of Dillsboro passed away Wednesday January 27, 2016 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. Jim was born Tuesday October 7, 1941 in Lawrenceburg the son of Harold and Mary (Armstrong) Frakes. He married Evelyn (Wilson) Frakes February 16, 1963 and she survives. Jim was member of the Baptist Church and the Teamsters Local 135. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, mowing his lawn, fishing, collecting antiques, and always there to lend a helping hand. Jim loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchild and friends.
Jim is survived by wife: Evelyn Frakes of Dillsboro, son: Rick Frakes of Cross Plains, daughter: Lisa (Larry) Moore Versailles, sister: Linda Craig of Sweetwater, TN; 3 Grandchildren Thomas James (Rebekah) Mathis, Brandi and Jamie Cole. 1 Great-Grand child: Hallie Mathis
Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Monday February 1, 2016 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Fehrman officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens at Madison. Visitation will be 5-7PM Sunday January 31, 2016 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Dillsboro Life Squad.
