Versailles, IN Ivy Tech Community College Lawrenceburg campus has awarded $1000 scholarships to both the King and Queen of the Versailles Pumpkin Show. The 2019 festival kicked off Wednesday evening with the crowing of the King and Queen. Sam Evans, from South Ripley, was crowned king and Jessica Starkey, from Milan, was crowned Queen.
“Ivy Tech is honored to partner with the Versailles Lions Club to offer scholarships to these deserving young people,” commented Shakira Grubbs, Vice-Chancellor of Enrollment and Student Success for the Lawrenceburg campus.
This year, the Versailles Pumpkin Show celebrates its 117th year. It is organized by the volunteers of the Versailles Lions Club.
