MAYFIELD, KY — The Indiana Task Force 1 Search and Rescue Team is on the ground in Mayfield, Kentucky conducting search and rescue operations.
The 45-member crew departed Saturday to help look for survivors and other victims left behind in the rubble of what used to be Mayfield’s candle factory, which took a direct hit in the tornadoes that struck the South and Midwest Friday night into Saturday morning.
The crew includes firefighters, police officers, and civilians.
Mayfield is located in Western Kentucky.
