Brookville, In. — Due to recent accidents, Franklin County Sheriff Ken Murphy has initiated increased police patrols on U.S. 52 between Brookville and New Trenton.
“Due to the recent increase in deadly and personal injury accidents along that stretch of U.S. 52, we are going to dedicate resources in that particular part of the county with the hope of reducing the number of accidents and preventing further tragedies.” Murphy stated.
Since May 1 police have investigated two fatal crashes, eight involving personal injury and 17 property damage accidents on U.S. 52 between Brookville and New Trenton.
