Indianapolis, In. — The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) will join over 1,300 Indiana State Fair employees and volunteers this year at the Indiana State Fair August 3-19, 2018. “Step Right Up” will mark the first year DOR will participate for all 17 days of the fair with a booth in the Expo Hall.
“Best-in-class customer service is not only providing great service when our customers come into our offices, but also providing convenient locations to serve customers and share our passion for DOR and its culture,” said DOR Commissioner Adam Krupp. “The Indiana State Fair is a great place to connect with taxpayers and share information on DOR’s programs and services.”
DOR staff will be available from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. to discuss tax issues, provide tax forms or booklets as needed, and provide important information to aid customers come tax time. However, DOR staff cannot prepare or file taxes for individuals.
Due to privacy and security concerns, specific tax information will not be accessible at the state fair. Customers may call DOR Customer Service at 317-232-2240, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. EST with any questions or concerns that require specific tax information to be accessed. Customers will also have the option to complete a contact sheet within the fair booth for DOR’s customer service team to reach out within two to three business days.
