(Franklin County, IN) – Franklin County is getting a new 9-1-1 Director.
The search committee has recommended the appointment of Jon Hundley, effective immediately, at a starting salary of $53,000 a year.
Hundley has spent the past several years as a manager in the Franklin County 9-1-1 operation.
He was recently hired for the role by Franklin County Commissioners, pending salary approval by county council.
Hundley succeeds Sheriff Pete Cates, who resigned in March.
The 9-1-1 Director’s post had been filled by the sheriff in a dual role with no salary increase since Cates’ predecessor Ken Murphy started the practice.
