(Greensburg, IN) – Officer Nic Polley and his K9 partner Bradly were introduced and sworn in at this week’s City of Greensburg Board of Works meeting.

Polley served four years in the United States Marine Corps before he was honorably discharged.

He started his law enforcement career at the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, where he served as a Detention Deputy.

Polley joined the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office in 2021 and served for three years as a Patrol Deputy.

During that time, he and the agency raised money to acquire a K9 partner.

Bradly, a four-year-old German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix, was purchased in 2023 and has served Decatur County residents since then.

He is certified in narcotics detection, article searching and tracking, and will soon have his criminal apprehension certification.

The Greensburg Police Department purchased Bradly from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office in an effort to maintain the K9-handler bond.
