Bloomington, Ind. — The Indiana Hoosiers improved to 10-3 on the season with a 77-68 victory over Winthrop at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. Indiana weathered a late push, holding Winthrop scoreless over the final 3:16 to secure the win.
Myles Rice led the Hoosiers with 18 points, while Malik Reneau and Trey Galloway added 14 and 11 points, respectively. Despite hitting just 1 of 20 from beyond the arc, Indiana’s defense held Winthrop to 18 points below its season average.
Indiana resumes Big Ten play on Thursday, January 2, hosting Rutgers at 8:30 p.m. ET.
