Hoosier state in top ten for Best States to Drive in

Despite seeing orange barrels at every turn, Indiana was named one of the best states for driving. According to a Wallethub study, “2020’s Best & Worst States to Drive in” released on Tuesday, Indiana ranks as being 8th.

The top ten best states for driving are:

  1. Iowa
  2. Tennessee
  3. North Carolina
  4. Texas
  5. Nebraska
  6. Georgia
  7. Virginia
  8. Indiana
  9. Arkansas
  10. Alabama

The top ten worst states for driving are:

  1. Hawaii
  2. Rhode Island
  3. Washington
  4. California
  5. Colorado
  6. Maryland
  7. West Virginia
  8. New Jersey
  9. Alaska
  10. Montana

The report’s findings were based on a comparison of the states’ cost of ownership and maintenance, traffic and infrastructure, safety, and access to vehicles and maintenance.

Not only did Indiana come in as the eighth-best state for driving, but also ranked 4th for the lowest auto maintenance costs.
