MADISON, IN — A man from western Ripley County is facing drug-related charges following his arrest in Madison shortly before noon Monday.
Madison Police say 40-year-old Richard Barnes of Holton (pictured) was a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped for speeding on Main Street when a police K-9 sniffed out narcotics.
Investigators say a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
Barnes has been charged with Level 5 felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Class A misdemeanor Possession of Paraphernalia.
