Holton man arrested after lying to police

GREENSBURG, Ind. — A Holton man has been arrested after police responded to a complaint of a vehicle blocking an alley.

According to police, Carlos W. Wood, 35, is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and False Identity Statement.

When police found the vehicle, Wood gave the officers an identity that was clean.

Officers were later notified that the owner of the vehicle is wanted on an arrest warrant and has a history of using his brother’s identity.

Police later located the vehicle and noticed the same tattoos in Wood’s description.

Wood told police his true identity and that there was marijuana in the car.

When officers searched the car, they found substances that tested positive for methamphetamine and marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
