Indianapolis, IN — Gov. Eric Holcomb says he will not pardon Indiana residents for minor marijuana convictions.
The Governor’s statement comes after President Biden pardoned thousands for possession of marijuana.
Holcomb says he “…can’t in good conscience” issue blanket pardons for offenders until Biden works with Congress to change the law on the federal level.
The Governor says the federal law should be changed, especially if the President requests states to overturn the work local prosecutors have done by enforcing laws on the books.
