(Southeastern IN) – A Heat Advisory will be in effect today from Noon to 8 p.m.
The National Weather Service says heat index values between 100 and 104 are expected.
Hot temperatures and high humidity could cause heat illnesses.
Forecasters say to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
You’re also urged to take extra precautions when outside, wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing, try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening, and take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
