
Hazel Lee (Fuller) Cornett, 96, of Milan passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at Ripley Crossing. Hazel was born on Saturday, December 7, 1929, in Hardburly, Kentucky; daughter of Harlan Fuller and Florence (Richie) Bradley. Hazel married George Cornett on August 16, 1947, and he preceded her in death on August 11, 2014. Hazel worked at Seagrams for 9 years and for Milan Schools in the cafeteria for 11 years. She was a member of the Milan First Baptist Church for many years. Hazel enjoyed dancing and especially loved her family.
Hazel will be missed by her daughters Maxine Meyers of Tullahoma, Tennessee; Beverly Kohlmeier of Milan; and Kimberly (Wayne) Gillespie of Lawrenceburg; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents Harlan Fuller and Florence Bradley; husband George Cornett; daughter Kathleen Hoskins; and brothers Harold Fuller, Joe Fuller, Harlan Fuller, and Howard Fuller.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Hazel from 12:00-2:00 PM, Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Harris Long officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul United Methodist Cemetery in Sunman. Memorials may be given in honor of Hazel to the Ripley Crossing Activity Fund.
