H.S. softball recaps from Wednesday, May 11

The following are high school softball recaps from Wednesday, May 11.  All games are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

South Ripley defeated Milan 22-9.

The Raiders collectively collected 18 hits.  Alexa Heidt, Mady Tompkins, Ellie Waldron, Brooklyn Brown and Emily Campbell all had multiples.  Waldron had a two-run homer and also pitched three innings for the win.  Tompkins tossed two hitless and scoreless frames to end the game.

Milan’s Kenzie Seale singled and doubled with three RBI.  Audrey Schmidt had a three-hit game with a ribbie.  Chloe Hunter notched two base hits and plated two runs.  Karsyn Bode also bagged a couple of singles.  Isabella May, Emily Knevan and Kendal Budd each batted in a run.

East Central fell 6-3 at Rising Sun.  The two teams combined for 24 hits.

For the Trojans, Payge Callahan had three hits with two doubles.  Anna Black and Brynn Wilhelm both booked two hits and an RBI.  Ella Bruss also collected a ribbie.

The Shiners Nora Powell had three hits with a pair of two baggers and a run batted in.  Ella Eldridge and Josie Bell both drove in two runs on two hits while Emma Russell posted two singles and one RBI.
