H.S. softball recaps from Tuesday, May 17

The following are high school softball recaps from Tuesday, May 17.  All games are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

North Decatur got the better of South Decatur for a second consecutive night.  Tuesday’s final was 12-2.

The Chargers Kennedy Stier had a four-hit game, Macy Scudder had three and both players produced an RBI.  Kayln Muckerhide and Keesha Crosland each notched two hits.  Crosland brought home three runs and Muckerhide drove in two.

South Decatur’s Molly Eden turned in two singles and a double.

Batesville beat Milan 13-3.

For the Bulldogs, Callie Fletcher tallied three hits and drove in three.  Kaylin Hinners, Sophie Lee and Renee Lecher all had a pair of hits.  Lee batted in three runs.  Lecher knocked in two.  Kennedy Westrick also had an RBI to her credit.  It came on a well-executed squeeze bunt which ended the game.  Katie Mobley went the distance in the circle with six strikeouts for the victory.

Milan’s Chloe Hunter, Kenzie Seale and Abby Moore all collected two hits.  Hunter, Seale and Karsyn Bode accounted for an RBI each.

South Dearborn fell 5-1 to Madison.

Cory Lee plated the Knights only run.  Teammate Malyia Schnebelt had two hits.

Keara Eder led the Cubs with a pair of singles and one RBI.  Sister Kallie Eder pitched a complete game with six strikeouts in the win.

East Central doubled up Franklin County 12-6.  The Trojans were down three but scored nine times over the final three innings to get the victory.

EC’s Karlie Davis, Anna Black and Payge Callahan all had three hits.  Davis doubled twice and drove in four runs.  Black batted in three.  Jordyn Mauer singled and tripled with a ribbie.

For the Wildcats, Kiersten Schell collected two singles.  Kensee Ferman plated two runs on a base hit and a sac fly.  Brooke Stang, Bailey Kaiser and Maci Lake all picked up an RBI.

Switzerland County blanked Southwestern Hanover 10-0.

Pacer pitcher Lilly Sparks gave up only three hits and had three of her own with a couple of RBI.  Maddie Duvall, Jessie Duvall, Kayla Cutter and Koons all had two hits.  Maddie Duvall batted in two runs.

The Rebels Ashley Fulton singled and doubled.
