H.S. baseball recaps from Tuesday, April 12

The following are high school baseball recaps from Tuesday, April 12.  All are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Batesville suffered its first loss of the season 7-3 to Columbus North.  BHS outhit C-North 9-8.  Batesville held a 2-0 lead after two but the opposition posted a four spot in the fourth to go ahead for good.

For Batesville, Charlie Schebler singled and doubled.  Teammate Will Sherwood singled twice.  Zach Wade drove in a run with a double.

Batesville pitcher Dime Adams took the loss.  He gave up five runs but only one was earned due to a pair of errors.  Adams struck out five and walked two.

For Columbus North, Dyllan Redman singled and doubled with two RBI.  Will Baker also had two hits with a ribbie. Staring pitcher Zach Wagner got the win tossing five innings.

Batesville’s C-Team beat Columbus East 6-0.  Josh Borgman tossed a two-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts and no walks.  Alex Krekeler, Ethan Lacey and Carson Schneider all had a multi-hit outing.  Krekeler also batted in three runs.

North Decatur fell 12-8 at Union County.  Kamdenn McKinney and Nate O’Dell both had two of the Chargers eight hits.  Braden Hancock was the pitcher of record.

Mason Stewart, John Ridenour and Devyn Shepherd all had three hits for the Patriots.  Stewart and Shepherd both had two ribbies. Kyle Sams homered and singled with four RBI.
